This Agile Project Management Foundation and Practitioner course is suitable for anybody who wants to gain in-depth knowledge on Agile Project Management Methodologies as well as to become a certified Agile Project Manager. Applicants of the course can be new to the industry or all the way to highly experienced project managers.

Agile Project Management Foundation & Practitioner (AgilePM®) Training Course Overview

This 4-day course combines the Agile Project Management Foundation and Practitioner courses into one course. The Foundation portion of the certification is an introduction to the Agile methodology and provides the training for the AgilePM® Foundation certification (APMG accredited).

Once the Agile PM Foundation certification has been achieved, delegates will progress onto the Agile PM Practitioner portion of the course, which takes place on the final day. Our qualified trainers will guide you through the Agile Certification and help you acquire the skills to work as part of a team competently and proficiently on an Agile project.

Agile training centres on continual iterative feedback, at regular intervals, to allow for frequent refinement of a project. This means it departs from the traditional project management methodologies of following a rigid plan and instead permits customer collaboration and is welcome to change.

  • Begin with an introduction to Agile methodologies
  • Equip yourself with the core principles needed for a successful Agile project
  • Understand the 12 Principles of Agile training and implement them into your projects
  • Implement an Agile methodology into your daily thought-process
  • Deliver quicker, cost-effective, and minimal risk change with AgilePM® certified team members
  • Greater focus on customer satisfaction, fulfilled and satisfied clients translates to improved prospects of returning business
  • Enhanced communication focus, between teams and clients, resulting in a better working environment

Agile Project Management Foundation & Practitioner (AgilePM®) FAQs

Yes, all our Agile courses are accredited by APMG International, who created AgilePM® alongside the Agile Business Consortium. We are an APMG ATO (Accredited Training Organisation).
The AgilePM® Foundation training course does not have any prerequisites and is suitable for anybody in, or who has an interest in, project management, from project management students all the way to Executives and Senior Managers. This course can benefit anybody looking to implement an Agile methodology into their projects.
This certification is designed for those who already hold an AgilePM® Foundation certification or the acceptable substitutes. If you fulfil the prerequisites and would like to build on your existing Agile foundations and take a proactive role in implementing an Agile methodology into your project, then this is the course for you.
It is recommended to spend 3-5 hours on pre-course work material prior to the course. The Agile Project Management Foundation and Practitioner course last 4 days. There will also be homework assigned during the course.
Our accredited Agile Foundation and Practitioner course and training is in place to thoroughly prepare you for the examination. However, if you fail the Agile Foundation examination, you can re-book the exam. We advise leaving adequate time before the retake, to ensure that you are fully prepared to retake the exam. AMPG have authorised public exam sessions on their website, where you are able to re-take exams at your own leisure. Please contact one of our advisors if you require any further information.
There are several routes available to you once you have gained the AgilePM® Practitioner certification. If you wish to learn about a more traditional project management approach which can be used to work alongside AgilePM®, you could gain a PRINCE2® certification. If you are familiar with PRINCE2® already and would like to understand how it can work with Agile, you could look at the PRINCE2 Agile® certification. Alternatively, if you would like to explore Agile more, the Scrum certification provides a framework for using Agile practices in a less traditional, less rigid way.
Our AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner training course requires you to complete work at home. This will be set by your AgilePM training instructor at the end of each day.
