What is Agile?

Agile is the name of a broad series of project management practices, which focus on building products incrementally using feedback and empowering teams to create physical products throughout the development lifecycle, rather than documentation. AgilePM® combines Agile principles with a formalised, proven structure which allows Agile to work in larger organisations where a project management structure already exists. AgilePM® provides a practical and repeatable method for beginning and managing Agile projects, ensuring continuous communication and collaboration between staff and timely delivery.

Created as a collaboration between APMG and Agile Business Consortium (formerly DSDM Consortium), AgilePM® is based on the DSDM Agile Project Framework, which establishes a high-level approach to Agile that allows it to fit alongside more traditional project management approaches.
