Podcasting refers to the preparation and distribution of audio files using RSS to the subscribed users’ computers. These audio files can then be uploaded to multimedia players or digital music. The format of podcasting is similar to radio or television shows. Anyone can create and share their opinions and thoughts with the podcast. This Introduction to Podcasting is designed to provide extensive knowledge of Podcasting.
This 1-day training course will teach delegates about all the fundamentals of podcasting. Delegates will learn how to create a podcast and how to choose a podcatcher software. In addition, delegates will become familiarised with Podcatcher software and aggregators. Delegates will also learn about how to choose a Podcast format and produce a podcast.
During this training course, delegates will gain knowledge of podcasting in different locations, such as in public places and meetings. They will learn how to identify a web host for the podcast. Furthermore, delegates will learn about self-hosting weblogs and commercial weblog services. By the completion of this course, delegates will be able to upload files and publish their shows.
