Oracle 18c DBA Fundamentals Course Overview
Oracle 18c describes how to create, configure, and administer an Oracle database. This course gives knowledge on the architecture of an Oracle Database instance and database, enables delegates to manage their database resources effectively. This course describes how to create oracle database cloud service (DBCS) deployments, how to access an oracle database and manage DBCS database deployments. In this course delegates will learn how to manage database instances. They will also learn about oracle net services: oracle net listener, connecting to an oracle database instances, naming methods, oracle net services administration tools, configuring communication between database instances, and comparing dedicated and shared server configurations.
In this 3-day course, delegates will acquire knowledge of how to manage oracle cloud and database users, privileges, and roles. They will also learn about user authentication, creating and assigning profiles. This course describes creating PDBs: methods and tools to create PDBs, creating PDBs from seed, cloning PDBs, unplugging and plugging in PDBs and dropping PDBs. This course teaches delegates how to create master encryption keys for PDBs and Creating and managing table spaces. They will also learn how to manage storage space, manage undo data, and moving data.
This course explains backup and recovery concepts and configuration. Delegates will learn how to configure and monitoring the fast recovery area, multiplexing control files, multiplexing redo log files, archive redo log files, and configure ARCHIVELOG mode. They will also learn about SQL tuning: SQL tuning process, oracle optimiser, optimiser statistics, SQL tuning advisor, SQL access advisor, and SQL performance analyser.
