Worcester is a city located in Worcestershire in the West Midlands of England. It lies around 17 miles away from Birmingham and has a population of around 100,000 people. There are several school in Worcester including Nunnery Wood High School and Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College. There is also two colleges; Worcester Sixth Form College and Heart of Worcestershire College. The University of Worcester is based in the city. It was originally the University College Worcester but was awarded university status in 2005. It is fastest growing university in the country as it doubled its student numbers in 5 years. It currently enrols around 10,000 students a year on a range of subjects including History, Biology, English Language and Geography. The rate of unemployment in Worcester is at around 2%.
