Our 2-day course provides everything needed to complete the APM PPQ 2nd edition exam and gain this valuable and highly respected certification. The qualification covers both the core and specific competencies required of project professionals, providing a comprehensive assessment of project management skills, knowledge, and experience. Gaining the qualification requires the passing of three core modules and one elective module, allowing candidates to choose whether to specialise in and assess specific skills in either project management, programme management or portfolio management.

What is APM PPQ?

APM PPQ (Project Professional Qualification) is developed by the Association for Project Management (APM), the chartered body for the project profession. It is an examination-based qualification that assesses capability in managing and delivering projects, programmes, and portfolios. PPQ is the highest level of project qualification APM offers after the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) and the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ). It is designed for project professionals with 5 to 6 years of experience.

APM PPQ Exam Information

The assessment is based upon the learning outcomes and assessment criteria specified in the APM Project Professional Qualification 2nd edition Syllabus.

The Professional Qualification 2nd edition assessment is of 2 hours 35 minutes in duration and consists of three assessment elements:

  • Scenario assessment.
  • Oral exam.
  • Written report.

It is based on a pre-seen case study, the context of the case study is sent to candidates four weeks prior to their assessment date.

Requires that candidate to take on the role of the project manager in the pre-seen case study.

Pass Mark:

There are 90 marks available across the assessment.

The pass mark is 60% (54/90) of the available marks across all three elements of the Assessment.
