There are no formal prerequisites for the AIX Fundamentals course, although an understanding of and exposure to information technology is advantageous.
This course is intended for programmers, administrators and support personnel who need to understand the AIX Operating system, existing shell scripts, automate procedures and write their own utilities.

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for attending this course. It would be great if delegates will have a basic knowledge of the AIX Operating System.
Audience
This course is designed for Various IT Professional Roles.
AIX Korn Shell Programming is used for the manipulate text and incorporate them into AIX Shell Scripts. The default directory is usually a home directory. AIX Operating System and other UNIX-Like operating Systems need a way to communicate with the kernel. The Korn Shell is the default shell used with AIX. Korn Shell scripting is included in the programming Strategy.
This course will provide the knowledge of AIX Korn Shell and its essential components. Delegates will learn about Programming components within AIX Korn Shell Programming Such as Variables, Integer Arithmetic, Loop Constructs, Functions and many more. It includes the AIX commands and Scripting with Korn Shell Programming. Delegates will acquire a knowledge of other commands which are very useful in this environment as well as gain the knowledge about Handling Run-Time Data and Interrupt Handling. Delegates will learn the skills of how to run conditional Statements.
After the completion of this course, delegates will able to create the Scripts to enhance the basic command output and and can enhance the ability to use the various shell mechanisms
