- Software Engineers
- DevOps Engineers
- Systems Administrators
- Web Developers
- Mobile Developers
- IoT Developers
- Product Managers
Prerequisites of the Amazon Simple Notification Service Training Course
There are no formal prerequisites to attend the Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS) Training Course. However, a basic understanding of messaging and cloud computing would be beneficial.
Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS) Training Course Overview
Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS) is a web service that coordinates and manage the delivery of messages to subscribing endpoints or clients. There are two types of clients- publishers and subscribers. Publishers communicate asynchronously with the subscriber by producing and sending a message to a topic, which is a logical access point and communication channel. Subscriber consumes or receives the message over one of the supported protocols when they are subscribed to the topic.
In this course, delegates will learn how Amazon SNS works. They will also learn about Amazon SNS for System-to-System Messaging with AWS Lambda Function, Amazon SQS Queue, and HTTP/HTTPS endpoint as a subscriber. This course teaches delegates about monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting Amazon SNS topics. Post completion of this training, delegates will also learn how to secure Amazon SNS.
Course Objectives
- To understand core features and capabilities of Amazon SNS
- To configure topics, subscriptions, and manage message lifecycles
- To implement message ordering, deduplication, and filtering strategies
- To publish and deliver large messages reliably across applications
- To integrate fanout messaging with SQS, Lambda, and endpoints
- To utilise application-to-person messaging for SMS, push, and email
After attending this training, delegates will be able to design, configure, and manage Amazon SNS solutions for both application-to-application and application-to-person messaging scenarios. They will be capable of creating topics, managing subscriptions, and ensuring reliable and ordered message delivery across distributed systems. Delegates will also be able to apply fanout patterns, integrate SNS with other AWS services, and implement security and monitoring best practices. With these skills, they will help their organisations build scalable, fault-tolerant, and efficient communication workflows in the cloud.
