This 1-day ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course Foundation, which is taught by expert trainers, is designed to provide delegates with a basic understanding of the ArchiMate® modelling language, including its notation, structure, terminology, and core concepts. With a focus on knowledge and comprehension, this course covers basics such as the passive subject elements, behavioural elements, and active subject elements at the heart of ArchiMate®, and the Business, Application, and Technology layers to which ArchiMate® can be applied. Accordingly, this course serves as a thorough introduction to ArchiMate® and its role in Enterprise Architecture.

Fully accredited by The Open Group, this course also includes an exam voucher, allowing candidates to take the ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course: Foundation examination at their discretion. Passing the ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course: Level 1 examination will prove your knowledge of the basic concepts and terminology of the ArchiMate® modelling language, as well as the three layers on which ArchiMate® focuses. The format of the examination is simple:

• Question Type: multiple-choice examination
• Total Questions: The paper contains 40 questions
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Open Book: No, this is a closed book examination
• Pass Mark: 60%, or 24 out of 40
• Supervised: Yes

ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course: Level 2 Course Overview

This 1-day ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course: Level 2, is designed to imbue delegates with an understanding of the more nuanced details of the ArchiMate® modelling language, including advanced concepts, and explains how to apply the ArchiMate® modelling language to practical situations.

ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course: Level 2 certification will prove to employers that delegates understand the advanced concepts behind using ArchiMate® in practical scenarios, as well as its compatibility with Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF® and languages like Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) and Unified Modelling Language (UML). This certification also demonstrates initiative and self-motivation on behalf of individual delegates.

Upon successful completion of the ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course: Level 2 examination, delegates will be awarded full ArchiMate® 3.1 certification, a globally recognised certification that highlights an individual’s knowledge of the ArchiMate® modelling language and their capability to use the ArchiMate® language for modelling. The certification does not serve as proof that delegates are qualified IT or Enterprise Architects.

Passing the ArchiMate® 3.1 Training Course: Level 2 examination will demonstrate a delegate’s ability to apply the concepts and language of ArchiMate® in practical situations, as well as rewarding those who pass with full ArchiMate® 3.1 certification. The examination format is as follows:

• Question Type: Scenario-based examination
• Total Questions: The paper contains 8 questions
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Open Book: Yes
• Pass Mark: 65% (26/40)

Please note that the ArchiMate Exams are only available online and not in the classroom.
