Canberra is the capital city of Australia and largest inland city. St. Mark’s Theological College is a part of the Charles Sturt University. As of 2004 there were a total of 140 schools in Canberra with 96 of them being government run and 44 being private. During the 2006-2008 period some schools were closed and others were merged together. There is a high percentage of non-government run schools in Canberra that make up almost 41% of ACT enrolments. There are a number of military schools in Canberra including the Australian Defence Force Academy and the Royal Military College.
