Like PRINCE2, there are exams to test individual’s knowledge in the methodology and its application. There are 3 levels of examinations available for Managing Successful Programmes, they are:
Which involves 40 multiple choice questions to be completed within 40 minutes, with a passing rate of 30 or more. It is also a closed book examination condition.
After completing and passing the Foundation examination, the Practitioner exam consists of 9 objective testing questions in a given time of 2 and a half hours, with a passing rate of 90 out of 180 marks. This is an open book (MSP guide only) examination condition.
After completing and passing the Foundation and Practitioner examination, individuals can then go onto the Advanced Practitioner level. The exam is made up of 3 essay based questions to be completed in 2 and a half hours, with a passing rate of 38 out of 75 to pass. The examination is an open book (MSP guide and other study books) condition.
It is encouraged for MSP Practitioners and Advanced Practitioners to maintain their certifications by reregistering their original certification every 3 to 5 years
