This course is designed to help IT professionals become enterprise-level messaging administrators for Microsoft Exchange Server 2016. Alternatively, this course could be attended by Help-Desk professionals who may find it useful to know more about Exchange Server 2016.

 

Prerequisites

It is required that candidates have a background in Information Technology, with at least two years of experience working in an IT-based field. Typically, candidates have experience working in Windows Server administration, network administration, help desk, or system administration. Delegates do not require familiarity of previous Exchange Server versions. The following lists specific experience we require delegates to possess in order to enrol on this course:

  • At least two years of experience administering Windows Server, comprising Windows Server 2012 R@ or Windows Server 2016

  • At least two years of experience working with Active Directory Domain services (AD DS)

  • At least two years of experience working with name resolution including Domain Name System (DNS)

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 or later versions, and AD DS, including planning, designing, and deploying

  • Practical understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) tools such as Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS)

  • Knowledge of security concepts including authorisation and authentication

  • Knowledge of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
