CCSP certification is provided by (ISC)2, an international, non-profit membership association for information security professionals. (ISC)2 has more than 140,000 members worldwide and provides a range of information security certifications including the popular CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional). As well as these certification programs, (ISC)2 also offers networking and collaboration opportunities, webinars and a magazine subscription.

CCSP was also developed in collaboration with the Cloud Security Alliance® (CSA), a worldwide organisation dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices for securing a cloud-computing environment.
