The purpose of the P3O Foundation certification is to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the P3O guidance to interact effectively with, or act as an informed member of, an office within a P3O model.

The P3O Foundation Exam format:

• Total Questions: 70 Live questions, and five trial questions
• Duration: 1 hour
• Open Book: No, this is a Closed book exam
• Pass Mark: The pass mark for this exam is 50% (35/70)
• Pass Rate: The pass rate for this P3O Foundation exam is 98%

This course is recommended for any P3O® Foundation holders who wish to expand their knowledge of P3O® and learn what they need to take an active role in a P3O® structure.

To take this course, you must have passed P3O® Foundation.

Possession of this P3O® Practitioner certification will provide confirmation that a candidate has acquired the ability to design, implement, manage, and work within a P3O® model as well as contribute to decisive decision making. This P3O® training course is designed to equip candidates with relevant skills to ensure that they can justify P3O® operations, whilst verifying that all portfolio activities are aligned with the business’s objectives. It includes the P3O® Practitioner exam, upon completion of which you will receive your certification.

This P3O® certification indicates that a candidate is a proficient Portfolio Manager and can be entrusted with making informed operational decisions.

• Total Questions: 4 questions, worth 20 marks each - 80 marks in total
• Duration: 150 minutes
• Open Book: Yes, the P3O® guide is allowed
• Pass Mark: 50% (40 out of 80)

Prerequisites

Re-registration candidates must have achieved a pass at the P3O®  Practitioner examination. Also, candidates must submit their candidate registration number of their expired Practitioner certification.

Who should attend this P3O Training Course?

This course is recommended for any P3O® Practitioner holders who wish to renew their knowledge of P3O after 3-5 years of holding the P3O Practitioner status.

P3O® Re-Registration Course Overview

P3O® Practitioner status should be re-registered every 3 to 5 years via the P3O® Re-Registration examination; this course and exam is specifically aimed at those wishing to re-register their P3O® Practitioner status.

Success in this examination indicates that the candidate could apply P3O® to the running and managing of non-complex portfolios.

• Open book – the P3O® guide is allowed
