MSP® Practitioner Exam Resit Outline

The MSP Practitioner exam has the following outcomes:

  • Identify additional value as a result of managing the described change as an MSP programme
  • Explain and apply each of the MSP principles, the governance themes and the transformational flow processes and their activities
  • Explain the relationship between the MSP principles, governance themes, the transformational flow, programme information (documents) and the MSP defined programme management roles
  • Produce and evaluate examples of MSP programme information (documents)

 

Classroom Exam Information

Please arrive 30 minutes before the exam start time, unfortunately, late comers will not be permitted to enter the exam once it has commenced.

You will need to bring the following to the exam:

  • Photo ID (a passport or driving licence)
  • 2 pencils
  • Eraser
  • Sharpener 

 

Online Exam Information

The exam is taken through a remote proctor, PeopleCert. You’ll be able to pick a date and time slot which is most convenient to you.

The system requirements for the exam are as follows:

  • Windows® 10, Windows® 8.1, Windows® 8, Windows® 7
  • Dual-core 2.4GHz CPU or faster with 2GB of RAM (recommended)
  • Active Full-Time/Broadband internet connection of 512/512 kbps (up/down)
  • 16-bit monitor (at least 15”) with screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher
  • Speakers and microphone
  • Keyboard and mouse or another pointing device
  • A single web camera (embedded or external) you can rotate.

You will also need to present photo ID to verify your identity before the exam.

Who should attend this MSP® Training Course?

This course is open to anyone who has previously taken the MSP Practitioner exam and not passed, or who has sat an MSP Practitioner training course and is looking to sit the exam.

You must have previously taken the MSP Practitioner exam to attend, or have taken a MSP Practitioner course and not yet sat the exam.

MSP® Practitioner Exam Resit Overview

Looking to take the MSP Practitioner Exam? You must have sat a full MSP Foundation training course either in the classroom or online, or have previously taken an MSP Foundation exam to attend this event.

The MSP Practitioner exam can be taken online through PeopleCert or in the classroom through one of our exam events.

MSP Practitioner follows on from MSP Foundation to provide understanding of how to apply the principles of MSP to the management of a programme and act as an informed member of a programme management team. It is also a necessary prerequisite for MSP Advanced Practitioner certification.

MSP Practitioner 5th Edition Exam Information

The MSP® Practitioner Exam is intended to assess whether the candidate can use and tailor the MSP® Programme Management framework to be awarded the MSP® Practitioner qualification. The structure and details of the MSP® 5th Edition Practitioner Exam are given below. 

  • Question Type: Objective Testing 
  • Total Questions: 70  
  • Total Marks: 60 Marks 
  • Pass Mark: 60%, 42/70 Marks 
  • Duration: 150 Minutes 
  • Open Book/ Closed Book: Open Book

Mississauga is the sixth largest city in Canada. It is in the south of the province of Ontario in the region of peel. The city is estimated to have a population of around 715,000 people. The rapid growth of this city is attributed to its proximity to Toronto. It was originally built as suburb of Toronto. Education in Canada is mostly free and publicly funded. It is overseen by the federal, provincial and local governments, with the education within provincial jurisdiction and the curriculum overseen by the province. Education is compulsory in most provinces up to the age of 16. Mississauga is served by the Peel District School Board, which operates the secular English speaking public schools. There is also a school board that runs the local catholic schools and a board that runs the French speaking schools in the area, one for the secular French schools and one for the catholic French schools. There are a number of schools in the area that offer specialised programs. These include the French immersion schools such as Clarkson Secondary School and Streetsville Secondary School. There are three schools in the areas that off a Regional Arts Program and two that offer a specialist sci-tech program for students who are gifted in these areas. There is also two schools that offer support for those studying for the international baccalaureate plus numerous other programs. Canada’s higher has a very good reputation. However there is no formal ranking system and students will often choose colleges and universities bases on geographic convenience and the reputation of a particular course. Mississauga is home to one of the three campuses run by the University of Toronto. This university is ranked as the 34th best university in the world and is the second highest ranked Canadian university in the rankings. The campus was established in 1967 and is the universities second largest division. It is home to 12,000 students. They have 15 academic departments and pupils can choose from 148 programs to participate in from 89 areas of study. Students can study both undergraduate and graduate programs on this campus. This campus also has an excellent research environment that has helped the staff and researchers become internationally recognised for their work. The university includes Institutes for Management and Innovation, and Communication, Culture, Information and Technology.
