There are also many private universities in the city including the highly respected Trinity University. This is a private liberal arts university that was founded in 1869. It offers up to 45 major programs and 60 minors, as well as 6 degree level programs. In 2013 it was named the US best university for Masters Studies by the Washington monthly.
