    This 4 day Project Management Professional (PMP)® prep boot camp training course provides everything you need to know to pass the exam and become a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®.

    This course consists of expert instructor-led, 4-day classroom training and students may schedule to take the exam on the fifth day. Delegates shall be provided with Guidance on the exam application process and continual support to maintain PDUs (Professional Developing Units). One Professional Development Unit is equivalent to one hour of learning or activity in Project management. The PMP® prep boot camp credential gives delegates a total of 37.5 PDUs. Delegates will also receive The Knowledge Academy’s unique prep workbook that has over 3000 PMP® practice test questions.

    Take the exam (This is achievable if the delegate has fulfilled the required contact hours (37.5 hours), and has applied to PMI® to take the exam on the fifth day. The Knowledge Academy recommends that delegates should take the exam once they feel they are fully prepared to pass the exam)

    The PMP® Exam Prep Boot Camp Information

    The exam is provided by The Project Management Institute (PMI)® and must be arranged through the body. If a delegate feels fully prepared, they may wish to arrange the exam on the day after the four days of the course. We will provide all the assistance required for the exam application process. 

    The Exam consists of:

    • 200 MCQs. 175 are scored questions and 25 are unscored, pre-test questions (these do not get counted towards your final score)
    • 4 hours to complete the exam with no scheduled breaks
    • The exam is in English however if you require additional language aids, they are provided in 14 other languages at no extra cost
    • A calculator is provided (you may not bring your own)

    The exam covers 5 key areas in Project Management. The percentages detail what percentage of the questions are covered in each area:

    • Initiating (13%)
    • Planning (24%)
    • Executing (31%)
    • Monitoring and Controlling (25%)
    • Closing (7%)

    The pass mark is not set. It is dependent on how you answer questions that are of varying levels of difficulty. Please do not confuse the pass mark with being 61%; it was previously 61% but is no longer a set percentage.

    From the date you pass your exam, you have three years to earn 60 PDUs. Every subsequent three years also requires a further 60 PDUs. One Professional Development Unit is equivalent to one hour of learning or activity in Project management. You can achieve your 60 PDUs with further education, organising meetings, watching videos, participation in online or digital media.

    To apply for the exam, The Project Management Institute (PMI)® requires that you have either:

    • A four-year degree (Bachelor’s or Global degree), 4,500 hours leading or directing projects, and 35 hours of project management education

    • A Secondary Degree (High school diploma or equivalent), 7,500 hours leading or directing projects, and 35 hours of project management education

    Please note, this course provides you with 37.5 hours of project management education, therefore fills the last criterion for the two prerequisite options.

    The Knowledge Academy offers a PMP® Exam Pass Guarantee which gives you confidence that we will support your learning until you pass your PMP® exam. We guarantee that you will pass your PMP® exam after completing our PMP® class. If you do not pass the exam on the 1st attempt, we will allow you to attend the class free of charge and should you fail the exam on your 2nd attempt, you will still be eligible to enrol in the class again, at no extra cost. All we require is for you to take the exam within 30 days of completing the class, attend all class days and complete all class assignments, including your PMP® practice exams. PMP® examination results must be verified to confirm re-enrolment and is subject to availability.
    Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion showing that you completed the course and earned the 35 contact hours required for you to take the Exam.
