Costa Mesa is a city in Orange County located in the state of California, USA. It was established in 1953 and has expanded to have a population of around 110,000 people. There are two high schools located in Costa Mesa; Costa Mesa High School and Estancia High School. Costa Mesa High School shares its campus with Costa Mesa Middle School. There are also three alternative high schools, Back Bay High School and Monte Vista High School which also share one campus, and Coastline Early College High School. There are some higher education establishments in Costa Mesa such as Orange Coast College and Vanguard University. Orange Coast College was founded in 1947 and provides a range of associate degrees and certificates in the arts and sciences. It has a total enrolment of almost 25,000 students. Vanguard University is a private Christian university which offers degrees in the liberal arts and professional studies over a range of 30 different programs. The unemployment rate in Costa Mesa is at 4.5%. This has improved slightly since last year’s rate of 5.8%.
