ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Foundation Course Overview
ISO 45001 is a new international framework for developing, managing, and maintaining an Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
This 1-day course provides the ideal introduction to the new standard, providing delegates with an understanding of what it is, how it is structured and what to think about when implementing an OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) system. It will suit anybody requiring knowledge of the basics of ISO 45001 or with an interest in Occupational Health and Safety.
ISO 45001 replaces OHSAS 18001 as an international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Organisations certified to OHSAS 18001 must upgrade their certification by March 2021 in order to remain certified.
Aimed at helping businesses reduce the frequency of work-related incidents and employee ill health, the guidance has been developed by a committee of occupational health and safety experts and has been designed to work with other popular management standards including ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
This ISO 45001 course is the first phase of a four-stage training process which enables individuals to become ISO 45001 specialists. Following this Foundation course, delegates willing to progress further should explore our more advanced ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, and ISO 45001 Lead Implementer courses. These Auditor and Implementer courses enable delegates to become proficient in the auditing and implementation of occupational health and safety systems.
