Fort McMurray is an urban service area in Alberta, Canada. It was a formerly a city named ‘McMurray’ between 1947 and 1962, but integrated with Improvement District No. 143 in 1995 to become the Municipality of Wood Buffalo. There is one university called Keyano College which focuses on vocational training and produces a large amount of workers for the oil sands. Also provided are theatre recitals and events in the university, which attract up to 50,000 visitors per performance.
