Cincinnati is a city in the state of Ohio. It is the third largest city in the state and the 65th largest city in the United States. It has an estimated population of around 297,000 people. Education in the USA is provided by both public and private schools, and is mandatory until the age of 16. Pupils conducting their schooling within the USA start off at preschool, followed by elementary school, then middle school, before finishing at high school. It is the third largest school district in Ohio and is rated as “effective” by the state. Cincinnati is the home to the first public Montessori school. Montessori is an educational approach that encourages independence in learning. The highest rated Cincinnati public school is the Walnut Hills High School which was ranked 34th in the country on a list of the best public schools. The University of Cincinnati which was founded in 1819, is one of the 50 largest in the United States. The university is one of the country’s top graduate research facilitates in engineering, music, architecture, archaeology and psychology. It is one of the top 550 universities in the world.
