ISO 45001 Prerequisites

Before attending you should have good background knowledge of the main concepts of ISO 45001 and its basic structure. We recommend completing the ISO 45001 Foundation certification for this knowledge.

ISO 45001 Internal Auditor Course Overview

ISO 45001 replaces OHSAS 18001 and is the latest international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management systems. Our 2-day course provides learners with the understanding they need of the standard to be able to effectively carry out internal audits and assess company compliance. You’ll learn in-depth about the structure’s clauses including its mandatory documentation, as well as understand key terminology and the audit process.

It is designed for anybody who will be taking the role of an auditor in assessing company compliance with ISO 45001. ISO has stated that companies currently certified to OHSAS 18001 will have until March 2021 to upgrade their certification and remain certified, so having trained Internal Auditors is a highly important step of the journey towards compliance. ISO 45001 has been designed by a worldwide committee of occupational health and safety experts to help businesses reduce work-related incidents and improve employee health.

It integrates with other ISO management standards including ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. This ISO 45001 course is the second phase of a four-stage training process which enables individuals to become ISO 45001 specialists. Following this Internal Auditor course, delegates willing to progress further should explore our more advanced ISO 45001 Lead Auditor and ISO 45001 Lead Implementer courses. These Auditor and Implementer courses enable delegates to become proficient in the auditing and implementation of occupational health and safety systems.
