How to pass the PMP® exam

Our recommended schedule for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification has been designed to give you the best preparation prior to sitting the PMP® Exam and becoming a practising Project Manager:

1. Calculate whether you meet the PMP® course entry requirements
2. Assess whether PMP® certification is the most appropriate course to achieve your career goals
3. Book the 37.5-hour PMP® Exam preparation course here
4. Read the full "A Project Management Body of Knowledge Guidance" (PMBOK® Guide) - approximately 2 weeks of reading (2 hours per evening)
5. Re-read the PMBOK® Guide and take extensive notes
6. Attend the PMP® Training course to learn about the PMP® processes and best practice
7. Consolidate and Test your reading through undertaking practice questions
8. Apply for the exam via the website and complete the online form
9. Complete the experience log of your PMP® experience.
10. Don’t book “time off” for an exam until authorisation has been provided
11. Receive authorization from Project Management Institute (PMI)® (valid for 12 months)
12. Book an exam appointment at a test centre
13. Check what facilities and rules they have
