Who should attend this MoV course?

This MoV® training course is intended for those involved/interested in directing, managing, delivering, or supporting projects and programmes. It is also intended for any staff members or managers who are looking to gain an understanding of MoV® principles and techniques. It is important to note MoV® does not have to be applied in your business in order for you to attend this training course.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this MoV® Foundation course. Anyone who wishes to boost their knowledge of Value Management is eligible.

Due to the intensity of this MoV® Foundation course, delegates are expected to engage in approximately fifteen hours of pre-course reading. The reading is comprised of the MoV® guide and its glossary, which contains key Management of Value terminology and language. This pre-course reading is designed to prepare delegates for the training course accordingly.

Likewise, delegates should be prepared for the instructor to set evening work over the course of the 3 days. The homework will take between 2-3 hours to complete.

Conducting the extra work will boost your chances of success. 

MoV® Foundation Course Overview

This Management of Value (MoV®) Foundation training course teaches delegates the fundamental concepts of MoV®, including its principles, key terminology, and guidance. As well as this, delegates will learn how to act as valuable MoV® team members, and how to assist Value Managers with decision making that meets business goals and stakeholder demands. The MoV® Foundation exam is included.

Furthermore, delegates will identify ways to maximise business value by considering where risks lie, and by making the best use of resources. The significance of accurate planning in the earliest stages of the project is emphasised to delegates, as this determines where resources need to be utilised and the project’s overall vision. This is established in an attempt to maximise the possibility of value success.

The MoV® Foundation level empowers individuals to confidently explain what MoV® is to others, and enables candidates to advance in the Management of Value realm with further certifications.

MoV® Foundation Exam Information

To acquire the MoV® Foundation certification, delegates must take and pass the examination. Passing the exam will allow you to go on to pursue MoV® Practitioner. Delegates will receive a MoV® Foundation certificate on completion.

The MoV® Foundation exam format

• Total Questions: 50 questions
• Question Type: Multiple choice
• Duration: 40 minutes long
• Open Book: No, this is a Closed book exam
• Pass Mark: 25 marks are required to pass (out of 50 available) - 50%

Who should attend this MoV Training Course?

This Practitioner training course is intended for anyone involved in managing, directing, delivering, or supporting programmes and projects. It is useful to point out that you can attend this Practitioner training course, even if MoV® is not in place within your organisation. Ultimately, anyone interested in learning about MoV® principles and procedures can attend.

However, this course may benefit members of the Project and Programme Management Community in particular, such as Project Managers, Change Managers, Senior Management teams, and staff members of these areas.

Prerequisites

Delegates must possess the MoV® Foundation certification in order to attend this Practitioner training course.

As this MoV® Practitioner is fairly intense in nature, there is approximately 15 hours of pre-course reading to complete. Delegates are required to familiarise themselves with the MoV® guide, particularly the glossary that contains explanations of key terminology and language individuals will need to know.

As well as this, instructors will set around 2-3 hours of homework per night, which delegates are expected to complete.

Executing the necessary extra work will enhance your chances of exam success.

MoV® Practitioner Course Overview

This MoV® Practitioner training course teaches delegates how to tailor and implement MoV® to real scenarios in the workplace. The Practitioner course builds on knowledge acquired at the MoV® Foundation level, and enables delegates to administer MoV® methodology to a wide range of situations. The MoV® Practitioner exam is included.

Delegates acquire the capability to implement MoV® methods within a variety of conditions, demonstrating their extensive understanding of MoV® principles. The Practitioner syllabus will cover the extent of condition complications, the experience of the individual, and accessible support networks. Delegates will also learn how to create a MoV® exercise plan, and how to monitor MoV® throughout the project lifecycle.

• Question Type: Objective testing style (multiple choice)
• Pass Mark: 80 marks available, 50% must be achieved to acquire the MoV® Practitioner qualification.
• Duration: 2.5 hours long
• Open book: Yes, the MoV® guide is permitted

Who should attend this MoV® Training Course?

This course is open to anyone who has previously taken the MoV Practitioner exam and not passed, or who has sat a MoV Practitioner training course and is looking to sit the exam.

MoV® Practitioner Exam Resit Prerequisites

You must have previously taken the MoV Practitioner exam to attend, or have taken a MoV Practitioner course and not yet sat the exam.

MoV® Practitioner Exam Resit Course Overview

Looking to take the MoV Practitioner Exam? You must have sat a full MoV Practitioner training course either in the classroom or online, or have previously taken an MoV Practitioner exam to attend this event.

The MoV Practitioner exam can be taken online through PeopleCert or in the classroom through one of our exam events.

MoV Practitioner follows on from MoV Foundation provides guidance for using and tailoring MoV in real situations.
