Omaha is the county seat of Douglas County, located on the Missouri River in Nebraska it is the largest city within the state. Omaha is home to an estimated 446,599 people within 2014 therefore making it the 41st biggest city within the United States. The metropolitan population for Omaha is estimated at around 895,151 people. Omaha has a relatively low unemployment rate of 02.90% which has been decreased over the year by 0.5% from the year before when the unemployment rate was 03.40% whilst the average rate for Nebraska cities is also 2.90%.
