The course content covered within MoP® Practitioner training sessions is as follows:

Implement, Sustain and Measure

  • Identify techniques for implementing, maintaining, and measuring portfolio management for a real-life scenario
  • Analyse approaches to implementing, maintaining, and measuring portfolio management to investigate whether they have been carried out correctly in the context of a real-life scenario

Portfolio Definition Cycle

  • Tailor and apply methods of the portfolio definition cycle to a scenario
  • Identify appropriate practices and techniques included in the portfolio definition cycle
  • Identify appropriate application of portfolio definition practices to a scenario and analyse them

Portfolio Delivery Cycle

  • Tailor and apply the methodologies, practices, and responsibilities of the portfolio delivery cycle to a real-life scenario
  • Identify appropriate practices and methods within the portfolio delivery cycle
  • Identify appropriate application of portfolio delivery practices to a scenario and analyse them

Roles and Documentation

  • Tailor and apply MoP® to a given scenario
  • Identify the correct application of the key portfolio management roles as outlined by MoP®
  • Identify the appropriate application of the syllabus topic to a given scenario
  • Evaluate the specified roles and determine if they have been involved appropriately
  • Analysis of the use of portfolio documentation and whether it is fit for purpose

*After completing 1 day of classroom training and successfully passing your Foundation Exam, the second day of this course is a flexible exam preparation day to complete at your convenience to prepare you to take and pass your Practitioner exam online.

Prerequisites

It is necessary for delegates to have attended the MoP® Foundation course and passed the associated exam to take this MoP® Practitioner course.

The MoP® Practitioner course requires delegates to undertake around fifteen hours of pre-course reading and a minimum of two hours evening work each day, assigned by the instructor.

MoP® Practitioner Course Overview

The MoP® Practitioner training course is an intermediate course which can be attended by those who have already gained the MoP® Foundation qualification and wish to advance their knowledge further. This course emphasises how to tailor and apply the MoP® practice to a live portfolio. It is taught in an intensive manner, providing delegates with a wealth of knowledge in a brief period. The MoP® Practitioner exam is included.

Training sessions are delivered in an engaging and interactive manner enabling delegates to enjoy their learning experience. After attending this training course, delegates will have gained the ability to analyse portfolio documentation and data, advise on the implementation of best practice techniques, and apply the methodology to live business portfolios.

MoP Practitioner exam format:

  • Question Type: Objective Testing (Type of multiple choice)
  • Duration: 3 hours long
  • Total Questions: 4 questions (20 marks each)
  • Open Book: Yes, this is an open book exam
  • Pass Mark: 50% required to pass the exam (40/80)
