Auckland is also home to Rangitoto College which is the largest school in New Zealand housing over 3065 students. Auckland is home to some of the largest Universities in New Zealand and is renowned for its overseas language education, with a huge amount of foreign students choosing to study there. Some of the most acclaimed Universities in Auckland are: University of Auckland, Auckland University of Technology, Massey University, Manukau Institute of Technology and Unitec New Zealand. The University of Auckland is the largest and highest ranked university in the country. The University of Auckland was founded in 1883 and is made up of over 8 faculties and houses more than 40,000 students.
