The record high for the country was 15.9 percent in 2005 and the record low was 1.47 percent in 2001. Niamey is the home of Abdou Moumouni University, which was founded in 1974-1994. The university had a total enrollment of around 8,000 in recent history. They have colleges of arts, science and teaching.
