Valletta is the capital city of Malta. It has an estimated population of 6,500 people. The unemployment rate in Malta went down in 2015 from 5.7 to 5.4 percent between the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2015. The number of unemployed people in the island is around 10600 people. This is the lowest number on record. Students can study for higher education at the University of Malta to achieve a diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate. They also provide teacher training qualifications. It has 13 faculties today, namely built environment, arts, dental surgery, economics, management & accountancy, education, engineering, health sciences and more.
