English is a growing language in Kazakhstan. Kazakh and Russian are the main languages in the country but many people under the age of 20 or officials will be confident in speaking English. The unemployment rate of Kazakhstan is at around 5%. The rate in Almaty is around the same, with 5.6% of people being unemployed.
