Almaty Management University was established in 1988 and offers degrees and programs in business administration and other management types. It educates around 3000 students every year. English is a growing language in Kazakhstan. Kazakh and Russian are the main languages in the country but many people under the age of 20 or officials will be confident in speaking English. The unemployment rate of Kazakhstan is at around 5%. The rate in Almaty is around the same, with 5.6% of people being unemployed.
