George Town, a city on Grand Cayman Island of the Cayman Islands, has an average population of roughly 28,800 spread across 11 square miles of land. At The Knowledge Academy, we offer 50,000 classroom based training courses throughout the different areas of George Town, in order to enhance people’s learning in an array of subject areas. As of the academic year running from 2014-2015, there are approximately 2,432 students enrolled in government primary schools, 2,307 in government secondary schools, 109 at the Lighthouse School (for special needs students) and 4,776 in private schools (which is divided by 1,703 in private primary and 1,364 in private secondary schools). Regarding laws, rules and regulations, it is compulsory for students aged 4 years and 9 months to attend school (whether it is private, public or home school) up until the age of 17.
