Middle school is the final phase of compulsory education and lasts 4 years. Secondary school lasts 3 years and is 3 years of a standard curriculum. Kuwait City is home of the main campus of the Kuwait University. The university has around 40,000 pupils enrolled there. It is a publicly funded university. The school has a number of colleges, such as, health science, architecture, arts and business administration.
