Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan. It is located in Kanagawa Prefecture on Tokyo Bay and has a population of around 3.7 million people. However the rest of the public high schools are operated by Kanagawa Prefectural Board of Education. The largest university in the city is Yokohama National University which is one the highest ranked establishments in the country.
