Osaka University of Economics is a private university established in 1932 and caters to around 6500 students every year. It provides undergraduate and graduate courses as well as evening classes. A small percentage of people in Japan speak fluent English, around 3%. English is taught in schools, however it is mostly just reading and writing skills. The unemployment rate in Japan runs at about 3.4%. The unemployment rate in Osaka runs slightly higher rate at 7.2%.
