Reykjavik is the capital and largest city of Iceland and world’s northernmost capital of a sovereign state. Whilst Iceland has a population of approximately 329 thousand, the Reykjavik city has a population of around 121 thousand people. The University of Iceland has the largest seat of students, which is located in central Reykjavik. Reykjavik also has Reykjavík University, which is the largest private university in Iceland with over 3000 students. In Reykjavík there are 10 secondary school and 3 universities which include Iceland Academy of the Arts, Reykjavík University and The University of Iceland.
