Compulsory education comprises primary and lower secondary education. Upper secondary is not compulsory but everyone has the right to it. The University of Iceland has the largest seat of students, which is located in central Reykjavik. Reykjavik also has Reykjavík University, which is the largest private university in Iceland with over 3000 students. In Reykjavík there are 10 secondary school and 3 universities which include Iceland Academy of the Arts, Reykjavík University and The University of Iceland.
