The city is also home to Al-Quds University, a Palestinian university based in Jerusalem. The Jerusalem College of Technology was established in 1969 and is a private Orthodox Jewish college. Since 1967 there has been an economic growth in Jerusalem and the city now has a higher than average percentages of people that are employed in education of 17.9%
