Jerusalem is the capital and largest city of Israel. It has a population of approximately over 890,000 people living in the city. The city also provides compulsory for children aged from 3 to eighteen and is home to several prestigious universities including the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; founded in 1925 it is among the top 100 schools in the world. The city is also home to Al-Quds University, a Palestinian university based in Jerusalem. The Jerusalem College of Technology was established in 1969 and is a private Orthodox Jewish college. Since 1967 there has been an economic growth in Jerusalem and the city now has a higher than average percentages of people that are employed in education of 17.9%
