Dublin City is the largest and capital city of Ireland. The University of Dublin teaches over 16,000 students, with 11,000 undergraduates and 4,000 postgraduates. Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is also locate in Dublin City. Dublin Institute of Technology was founded in 1887 and became an independent degree-awarding institution in 1992. It is the largest higher education institutions in Ireland with over 22,000 students attending and undertaking courses in Architecture, Construction, Digital Media, Engineering, Hospitality, Journalism, Marketing, Music, Optometry, Pharmaceuticals, and Science. The university has many notable academics including: Pat Kenny, Raidió Teilifís Éireann, Frank Harte, Hugh McFadden, Seán Dublin Bay Rockall Loftus, Desmond Fennell, Lelia Doolan, Peter Sutherland, and John T.
