Between 1989 and 2015 the rate of unemployment averaged around 8.5 percent. In 2010 it reached an all-time high of 20 percent and in 1989 the rate was the lowest ever seen in Estonia of 0.5 percent. Tallinn University is one of the largest university’s in Estonia. It is acknowledged both locally and internationally for its role as a centre for science and education.
