Douala is the capital city of Cameroons richest region, the Littoral Region. It is also the biggest city in the country and the commercial capital due to it being the home of the country’s largest port. The city of Douala is home to a number of higher education institutions including the University of Douala. There are around 40,000 pupils enrolled at the university that was founded in 1977.
