Brasilia is situated within the highlands of Brazil in the central region. The city is the capital seat of the federal government. Brasilia is the fourth biggest population city in Brazil with a population of around 2,500,000 inhabitants. The city has its now airport providing major transport links for international destinations. Brasilia is was the main host for the FIFS 2014 world cup.In the city the language taught is in Portuguese however English and Spanish are taught as second language within schools. Brasilia has six main international schools including American School of Brasília, Brasília International School, Escola das Nações, Swiss International School, Lycée français François-Mitterrand and Maple Bear Canadian School. Escola Americana de Brasília is an international school providing U.S and Brazilian curriculum using American teachings. There are around 600 students who attend the school from ages 4 – 19 years.Brasilia has a few main university institutions including, Universidade de Brasília, Universidade Católica de Brasília and Centro Universitário de Brasília. The University of Brasília is a public university with over 30,000 students (undergraduates and postgraduates).
