It is situated high, 1,023 metres (3,356 ft), in the east Pyrenees between Spain and France. It contains a Spanish Primary School that is located in Escuela Española de Andorra la Vella. It also contains a Spanish international secondary school called the Instituto Español de Andorra (IEA), which can be located in La Margineda in Andorra la Vella.
