Prerequisites

CBAP® is an experience-based professional certification. It requires the following professional work experience:

  • A minimum of 7500 hours in the last 10 years
  • Within these work experience hours, a minimum of 900 hours must cover 4 of the 6 BABOK® Guide knowledge areas
  • In addition to this, it requires:
  • A minimum of 35 hours of professional development in the last 4 years
  • Two references from either a career manager, client (internal or external) or CBAP® recipient
The course requires no prerequisites. The exam requires a minimum of 7500 hours Business Analysis work experience in the last 10 years.
No, the course does not include the CBAP® exam. This is booked separately through IIBA.
