History of Microsoft Office

The Microsoft Office Suite was announced in 1988 by Bill Gates and was designed to contain Word, Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint as well as the Mail application. The Office suite has been updated and developed numerous times over the years and has expanded to include various other apps such as Microsoft Outlook, Publisher and Access.

Over the years since its release the Microsoft Office Suites has had to work to keep up with the technical industries rapid developments and is now available over a number of platforms for desktop computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.
