History of M_o_R®

M_o_R® has been in circulation since 2002 and was produced largely in response to the Turnbull Report on Corporate Governance that set out internal best practice for UK listed companies. The purpose of M_o_R® was to assist organisations in assessing the risks associated with decision making.

In 2007, in order to make the M_o_R® guide relevant to current world risk issues, the guide was refreshed to reflect risk in all sectors. The 2007 version of the M_o_R® guide became internationally renowned as companies across the UK and the world began to adopt the methodologies of M_o_R® to their individual organisations.

Another revision of the M_o_R® content was undertaken at the end of 2009 to make the methodology more relevant and transferable. These changes included the standardisation of the methodology to make the skills and knowledge attained in M_o_R® training more consistent and transferable in line with other best practice management courses, for example, PRINCE2® and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP®)
