OBASHI® Foundation Course Outline

OBASHI® Foundation is a two day course, with the exam completed at the end of second day. Below is the daily structure of the topics that will be covered during the course.

  • Elements and Layers
  • The B&IT Diagram
  • Questions regarding the exam  

 

Day 2

  • Review of Day 1 topics
  • Review of evening work
  • The OBASHI Relationship Rules
  • The Data Analysis View
  • Physical v. Logical Modelling
  • The OBASHI Project Life Cycle
  • Foundation Exam

 

Please note that homework will be set and is expected to take at least 2 hours to complete. There will also be some pre-course study material set to all delegates

 

Every Delegate shall receive the Official OBASHI® Methodology Manual, prior to the course commencing. 

 

Delegates are expected to have achieved the following aims and objectives by the end of the course:

  • Understand how OBASHI supports the Business Strategy
  • Describe the benefits OBASHI can bring to an organisation
  • Understand the concept of dataflow. Be able to explain the purpose and use of a DAV and describe how it is constructed
  • Recall OBASHI Core Principles and Laws of OBASHI
  • List and describe the concept of Layers and Elements in OBASHI
  • Be able to explain the purpose and use of a B&IT diagram and describe how it is constructed (Including use of colour)
  • Understand the laws of Digital Dynamics
  • Understand the OBASHI Rules and Relationships (incl. relationship persistence)
  • Understand the concept of Logical and Physical models.

OBASHI® Foundation Course Overview

OBASHI® is an Information Technology methodology that enables delegates to understand clearly how their business functions. This intern will facilitate better decisions throughout the organisation. This course equips delegates with the tools and methods of OBASHI, in order for them to improve the decision making process within their business.

 

OBASHI® will assist in creating a visual map that shows:

No, currently the only certification concerning OBASHI is the OBASHI® Foundation course and exam.
Yes, the OBASHI® Exam follows the course and is completed on the afternoon of the second training day.
Yes, the exam is included as part of the course and in the course price.
Delegates shall receive a hard copy of the Official OBASHI Methodology Manual, prior to the course commencing. Delegates shall also receive pre-course work documents, via e-mail, which must be completed prior to attend the course. Once on the course, an expert instructor, the printed course material, light refreshments, the exam, and the OBASHI® Foundation certification after successful completion, will all be a part of the course.
