There are a couple of exams that you must undertake; CompTIA A+ 220-801 and CompTIA A+ 220-802. For each of these you must undertake a series of modules and sit an exam at the end of each one. Here the details of each option and the exam structures are outlined.
CompTIA A+ 220-801:
Covers the fundamentals of computer technology, installation and configuration of PCs, laptops and related hardware, and basic networking
90 minutes
Multiple choice
Pass mark: 675/900
CompTIA A+ 220-802:
Covers the skills required to install and configure PC operating systems, as well as configuring common features (e.g. network connectivity and email) for the mobile operating systems Android and Apple iOS
