PRINCE2 Training And Taking On New Projects
The Prince2 methodology of undertaking projects is most acceptable amongst the industrialists since it was first formulated by the UK government to carry out the projects in the field of communications. The methodology spread to envelop other areas of project management and is now the standard procedure for all types of project management. The size of the projects could be big or even medium but the methodology of undertaking projects remains unaltered. Prince2 Training has thus found favour amongst the enterprises undertaking projects as the organisations like to create their own talent pool of experts who have qualified Prince2 Course or Prince2 Training.
Prince2 methodology believes in dividing a project into smaller parts. Each component called a phase is led by a team leader who becomes responsible for its progress and completion within a certain specified period and ensuring that its quality specifications are maintained. The completion of a phase implies beginning of the second and the chain goes on till all phases are complete and ready for integration to make the whole project a reality. Prince2 Training takes through the subject of phasing a project in detail.
Another salient feature of Prince2 methodology is the complete involvement of the stake holders and resource providers at each and every stage of the project. The project leader keeps all of them and his team members fully informed of all developments and audits that take place during the progress of the project. It facilitates easy handing over of the completed project. No other methodology of project handling can boast of stakeholders’ complete involvement. The subject that is therefore stressed upon in the Prince2 Training is communications. Unless the project manager establishes open lines of communications with the top management, stake holders and team members and other agencies he will not be able to ensure timely completion of the project whilst keeping everyone involved in the project.
A project manager of Prince2 projects has to be a man of courage and must have the requisite expertise to face the challenges of change and business risks. Both need to be responded to in the correct manner so that the progress of the project is not hampered. In addition he must be a man who can reuse the project materials so that the organisation gains by reducing material costs. Prince2 Foundation Training gives enough expertise to understand the basics of Prince2 project handling.
Prince2 Practitioner Training makes the Prince2 project methodology further lucid and qualifying it is a prerequisite to Prince2 Professional Training. The project leader learns all aspects of project management in the Prince2 Training. The effect of internal and external environments is explained in the Prince2 Course so that the future project managers of Prince2 projects become conversant with the ways in which any change in the environments can be handled.
Both, the organisations and stakeholders stand to gain by following Prince2 methodology and thus investing in Prince2 Training will be beneficial to them. Sending management professionals for Prince2 Course will prove productive in the long run.
